National Park Service rangers are at the Visitor Center between 9:00am to 5:00pm to provide brochures, Junior Ranger booklets, and Passport Book stamps.
Restrooms are available at the Visitor Center, the Archaearium, and the Dale House Café, during its operating hours. Hand sanitizing stations are positioned around the site.
Much of the visit experience takes place outdoors, so we recommend dressing comfortably for the weather conditions, which are often hot and humid in the summer. In the event of severe weather, we may need to close the site for safety reasons. Information on closures or other changes to operations will be posted at the top of this page and on our social media channels.
The health and safety of our visitors and staff are of utmost importance. In keeping with relevant guidance from the governor’s office, the Virginia Department of Health, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention:
The Visitor Center gift shop and Archaearium Museum Store are open daily. Store occupancy is limited and guests are encouraged to wear masks. Many of our gifts, souvenirs, and replicas are also available in our online shop for shipping or store pickup.
