Use the options below to explore the Jamestown Rediscovery collection. The items featured here are just some of the over 3 million objects recovered in the last 25 years of archaeology at the site. Some of these artifacts are on display at the Archaearium museum. Others are housed in our collections area, which includes a designated “Reference Collection” that holds one example of every type of object.
Visitors to the site can also choose to take a behind-the-scenes Curators’ Artifact Tour on selected dates from April through October. Researchers wishing to access the collection can view research policies and/or contact a curator.
Categories include exchange items, household wares, and craft and industry tools.
Explore where artifacts were found using our interactive Map of Discoveries.
Browse artifacts by type, such as ceramic, lithic, metal, or glass.
The collection includes both locally-produced items and wares imported from across Europe and Asia.
