Jamestown Legacy Society

leave a lasting legacy

Legacy Society members have generously included the Jamestown Rediscovery Foundation in their estate plans through either an outright bequest or a gift of retirement funds. This is a great way to make a meaningful and lasting impact on the valuable work being done here which will benefit future generations. Legacy Society members are recognized on the Jamestown Rediscovery Donor Appreciation Registry in the historic Yeardley House.

“We thought about these accounts which have done well over the past decades….Why pay all those taxes when we pass on? We decided to give all of whatever remains of our IRA to charity instead of a substantial portion to the IRS. We love Jamestown and want to help however we can. The procedure for changing account beneficiaries is quite straightforward and easy to do, and we feel so good about what we’ve done.”
