Description

This is a pewter imitation of a spiritual object found in an early James Fort feature. The original was made of jet, a black fossil resin believed to have magical and protective properties. At the time of Jamestown’s settlement, a major source of this mineral was Whitby in the north of England. The reproduction we sell here is made with pewter with the same size, shape, and engraving.
