The Footbridge

After you purchase your ticket at the Historic Jamestowne Visitor Center, head toward the rear of the building. From there, you can access the historic site with a leisurely stroll across the footbridge. It is approximately a 5-10 minute walk to the Tercentennial Monument where most walking tours begin. While crossing the Pitch and Tar Swamp, keep an eye out for turtles, birds, and other island wildlife.
