Location: Program begins at the Pocahontas Statue

The seeds of representative government were planted at Jamestown in 1619 and would inspire those who forged a new nation during and after the American Revolution over 100 years later. As we mark this country’s 250th anniversary, there’s no better time to explore where it all began. Join the Assembly to learn about the new charter and then help establish new “just laws” for the colony in this fun, interactive program.

Join the Assembly is expanded for 2026 and will be offered every Saturday in July, beginning on Independence Day, through August 1.
