“Proceedings of the Virginia Assembly, 1619”
Location: Memorial Church
Calling all burgesses! Join in as several members of the 1st Assembly recount the proceedings of the first meeting of the General Assembly and discuss the laws affecting the colony.
This interactive program will take place in the Memorial Church, which was constructed in the early 20th century to protect and memorialize the location of the original church where the first Assembly convened 405 years ago.
Free with paid admission to to the Preservation Virginia portion of Historic Jamestowne.
