tour jamestown from home

Take a virtual tour of Jamestown through the “Digital reDiscovery” platform! Virtual tours of the archaeological site of James Fort and the Archaearium Museum are told through a series of videos connected through an interactive, online map. The archaeology tour weaves together the history of the settlement with how archaeological research has informed our understanding of the site. The other tour, “Anas Todkill’s Jamestown,” is presented from the perspective of one of Jamestown’s important early settlers who was a comrade of Captain John Smith. Relevant historical information, images, artifacts, and other videos are linked to each tour topic, enabling the public and students to explore further.
