Description

This stain-resistant apron will remind chefs and diners alike that without working, there is no eating!

In his bold and historic 1608 speech, John Smith modified this New Testament quote in an attempt to combat the dire issues facing the residents of James Fort. This apron will serve to remind you and others of the trials that the early colonists faced. Many of the settlers were gentlemen of wealthy backgrounds who were not used to putting in a hard day’s work in the fields growing the food they needed to survive, thinking this was a lesser man’s task. That way of life had to change in the new world, where every man would need to help in order to increase the chances of survival for all. Smith’s efforts during the time of his leadership are credited with the survival of the colonists.
