Description

The Jamestown Memorial Church was constructed in 1907 in commemoration of the 300th anniversary of the founding of Jamestown. Several of Jamestown’s early settlers are buried in the church yard. Located at the western end of the reconstructed Jamestown Church is the only standing ruin of the 17th century town, the Church Tower. It is believed to have been a part of the first brick church built in about 1639.
