9:00am–12:00pm (Monday through Friday): Archaeology in Action
Our archaeology team is hard at work uncovering new information about early Jamestown. Check out excavations in progress near the East Bulwark. Visitors are welcome to observe and to ask questions of the field crew, but we ask that you please respect the safety ropes.

10:00am-4:00pm (Saturday): Inside James Fort: The Powhatan Indians
Join Daniel Firehawk Abbott of the Nanticoke people from Maryland’s Eastern Shore to learn about the material culture and lifeways of the Tidewater Algonquians as well as their interactions with the settlers of Jamestown.

10:00am–4:00pm (Saturday & Sunday): Inside James Fort: Forged in Iron
Blacksmithing was one of the earliest trades to be practiced at Jamestown. Join blacksmiths Shel Browder or Steve Mankowski for demonstrations and a discussion of the types of work that went on at the site of the original James Fort Forge.

11:00am (Monday through Friday): Archaeology of James Fort Tour
Join a Jamestown Rediscovery archaeologist for a tour of the ongoing excavations and some of the most significant findings. Tour begins at the Tercentennial Monument.

11:00am (Saturday & Sunday): Jamestown History Tour
Take a deeper dive into a particular aspect of the history of Jamestown. Topics vary; see below for this week’s schedule. Tours begin at the Tercentennial Monument.
