Learn more about the science behind solving 400-year-old cold cases.

Join Director of Archaeology David Givens to hear how Jamestown Rediscovery investigates clues hidden in skeletal remains to learn more about the lives of the early settlers. From evidence of crippling disease to identifying James Fort’s founding fathers, Dave will provide a behind the scenes look at how the team solves colonial cold cases.


Forensic Fridays are held at 3:00pm, usually on first and third Fridays from April through October. See below for upcoming programs.


This program begins with a talk at the Historic Jamestowne Visitor Center followed by a visit to the Archaearium, our archaeological museum.


Adult tickets are $35 each and Youth tickets (15 years of age and under) are $15 each. Program fee includes 7-day Admission to Historic Jamestowne and Yorktown Battlefield. Children 15 years of age and under must be accompanied by an adult. This program is limited to 15 people, so early booking is encouraged.
