The “World of Pocahontas” Walking Tour
Location: Tour begins at the Pocahontas Statue
Join the Jamestown Rediscovery Education staff for a walking tour though James Fort and the Archaearium to explore the life of Pocahontas at the 400th anniversary of her death. Hear how Pocahontas served as a cultural bridge between the English and Native Virginians and visit the site of her 1614 marriage to John Rolfe. The tour will also examine the relationships between the local Indian peoples and the colonists through examples of native-made objects that have been found at the fort site.
Program will also be offered on March 17 from 12:30pm to 2:00pm.
Requires a free reservation, but participants must have or purchase a valid Historic Jamestowne admission ticket on the day of the tour.
