2:00pm - 4:00pm
“Wee were never more merrie”
Drop in and enjoy an afternoon conversation with two of Jamestown’s early colonists as they remember their past Christmastides in England and reflect upon the realities of life in the new world. Anas Todkill and Dr. Walter Russell have explored the Chesapeake Bay with Captain John Smith and seen the bounty of the Chesapeake firsthand, so they have no doubt have witnessed and enjoyed feasts in the Native Virginian’s villages. Perhaps they will share their observations of life and celebrations in Virginia in comparison to the grand holidays balls of the English manor houses….
Program will also be offered on December 22 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
