Curator’s Artifact Tour: September 25, 2019


Join a behind-the-scenes tour of the spectacular artifact collection of James Fort!

Tour date and time: September 25, 2019, 3:00pm—4:30pm

To purchase Adult tickets, enter the quantity below and click Add to Cart. To also purchase tickets for those 15 years of age and younger, select Youth Ticket from the drop down menu, enter the quantity, and click Add to Cart. Click the Checkout button to complete your transaction. Youths must be accompanied by an adult.

To purchase the Combo ticket, which includes both the September 24 Tales of the Silver Shovel (tour begins at 10:00am) and September 25 Curator’s Artifact Tour (tour begins at 3:00pm), select either the ADULT or YOUTH option for the Combo Ticket from the drop down menu, enter the quantity, and click Add to Cart.

Ticket prices include 7-day admission to Historic Jamestowne and Yorktown Battlefield. Tour tickets are only valid for date and time specified. No refunds can be given unless the tour is cancelled by the Jamestown Rediscovery Foundation.

The Curator’s Artifact Tour provides an exciting opportunity to visit Jamestown Rediscovery’s archaeological laboratory and collection facility. Learn more about how artifacts are cataloged, analyzed, researched, and stored. This 90-minute program begins with a brief overview of the archaeological collection consisting of more than two million artifacts recovered since digging began in 1994. Our curatorial staff will also highlight important finds and show how artifacts tell the story of Jamestown’s early years.
