Description
This beautiful glass, hanging ornament features a scene from the wedding of Native American princess Matoaka (Pocahontas) to English tobacco farmer John Rolfe. The union took place outside the church on Jamestowne Island on April 5th 1614. The 400th anniversary was commemorated in a reenactment at Historic Jamestowne outside of the memorial church in April 2014. The image itself was created in 1855 by engraver John C. McRae and painter Henry Brueckner. This piece looks stunning hanging on a Christmas tree, as a suncatcher, or in any other place you would like to hang a piece of history!
Ornament measures 3 ¾” x 3” at its widest points, and comes with an approximately 6” long gold hanging ribbon.
