Primary Function: The Visitor Services Associate provides exceptional customer service to Historic Jamestowne guests at the Visitor Center admissions counter, Visitor Center museum store, and Archaearium museum store.
One (1)+ year of customer service at a museum or historic site is preferred. The successful candidate will possess excellent skills in verbal communication, a high level of attention to detail, and a team-focused sense of initiative. Must be able to positively interact with and provide services to diverse populations and age groups. Prior knowledge of Jamestown Rediscovery, Preservation Virginia, the National Park Service, or Virginia’s Historic Triangle are useful. Dedication to the mission of education and historic preservation is essential.
High school diploma or equivalent. A federal background check is required for employment. Applicants must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds. Must meet weekend and holiday availability minimums. This is a part-time, hourly position.
