Jamestown Rediscovery is seeking a dependable, enthusiastic individual to join our team. Maintenance staff provide essential support to Jamestown Rediscovery offices and Historic Jamestown grounds. Duties include maintaining grounds and buildings of Preservation Virginia’s twenty-two acres and supporting staff with events and visitors.

The Maintenance staff position is a full-time salaried position that pays $30k annually. Weekend and holiday work is required. Eligible for benefits.

Historic Jamestowne is a nationally recognized historic site representing a public/private partnership between Preservation Virginia, Jamestown Rediscovery, and the National Park Service.

duties required but not limited to:

● Custodial duties and grounds maintenance
● Assist Jamestown staff with events, which may require after-hours work
● Grounds equipment maintenance
● Building maintenance, including painting, rot repair, plumbing, etc.
● Landscaping and small construction
● Work effectively and respectfully with people of diverse backgrounds

requirements and qualifications

● Valid Virginia drivers license
● A high school diploma or equivalent
● Must be able to lift upwards of 50 pounds
● Landscaping and some construction experience
● Professional demeanor when interacting with the public
● Able to learn quickly with provided training
● Must meet weekend and holiday availability minimums
