Join us on Thursday, September 28, for the Sixth Annual ShinDIG at Jamestown! Guests enjoy an evening of bluegrass music, delicious barbecue, and beautiful views of the James River. All proceeds benefit the Jamestown Rediscovery Project.
The Williamsburg-based “Whoever Shows Up Band”—featuring Director of Archaeology, Bill Kelso, on banjo—takes the stage at the Dale House Café at 6:30 pm. Other members of the band are Doug Burgoyne, guitar; Jack Cowardin, fiddle; Rob Foos, dobro; Bobby Hornsby, bass; Rennie Howard, banjo; and Ellen Kelso, bass.
Tickets will be $40 per person and include an all-you-can-eat barbecue dinner, with vegeterian options, by Carrot Tree Kitchens. Beer, wine, and sangria will be available for purchase. Tickets must be bought in advance and are limited. Tickets may be purchased online by clicking the button below; in person at the Historic Jamestowne Visitor Center; or over the phone by calling 757-856-1250 between 9:00am and 4:30pm.
Gates at Historic Jamestowne open at 5:45pm. The event will be held rain or shine and there will be no refunds unless it is cancelled by Preservation Virginia.
