ensure that the moments of discovery continue

For over 20 years, Jamestown Rediscovery archaeologists have provided visitors with a unique opportunity to witness the moment of discovery as Jamestown’s past is unearthed right before their eyes. Students and visitors from all over the world leave Jamestown with a better understanding of the archaeological and scientific methods used to give new insights into the Jamestown story. Jamestown’s history is not static; it evolves with every shovelful of dirt.

Jamestown Rediscovery does not receive federal or state money for regular operations. Donations to the private Jamestown Rediscovery Foundation pay for the operation, research, and programming at the fort site. Your contributions ensure that archaeologists, educators, and volunteers can continue to share Jamestown’s new discoveries with future generations.
