In honor of the service and sacrifices of veterans and those currently serving in the military, all national parks will waive entrance fees on Veterans Day, November 11, 2010. Locally, Colonial National Historical Park includes Historic Jamestowne and Yorktown Battlefield.

Take advantage of the free entry at your national parks to enjoy lands that our veterans have kept safe for us. National parks offer fun for visitors of all abilities and interests and are often only a short trip from the places we call home.

Visitor Centers at both Historic Jamestowne and Yorktown Battlefield are open daily, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The park is closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. For more information, please call (757) 898-2410, or visit www.nps.gov/colo.
